Irish Blessing Quilts

When I count my blessings, I count to two! My Mom and I took a quilt class at a shop in Columbus and made these two quilts for my twins.

See, when I say Mom and I took this class . . . what I really mean is that I saw this advertisement for a "wallhanging of the month" type deal where you bought this book seasonal charms and then you met each month and made a wallhanging from the book each month using 5" charm squares. Well, after seeing the book and the simplicity of the wallhangings, we bought the book and decided to bump them up to twin size for the twins' beds. And I stole her top to give to one of the kids.

Sew . . . she made another one for herself.

Mom's going to add embroidered Irish Blessings around the light green borders for them. She has a Brother embroidery machine and she digitized one of my favorite Irish blessings to put on them. I can't wait to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

Note to self . . . MaybeI should start on Halloween and quilt their Christmas flimsies first!
